New Hope Mission Statement

"Save the lost and build the found."

At New Hope we have all memorized our mission statement because it represents the very core of our beliefs about why our church exists. “Save the Lost” is an echo of Luke 19:10 which tells us, “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost.” New Hope is an evangelical body of believers who stand on Scripture which directs us to lead lost souls to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We, like the angels in Heaven, rejoice when another person chooses to accept Jesus as Savior and the Lord of life. “Build the Found” addresses the spiritual care and development of those who call themselves children of God. To build the found is to teach, to guide, to share the love of God with those who hunger to move closer to Him. Known as “discipleship”, based upon Matthew 28:19 which tells us “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit”, we believe that spiritual growth and care is a serious obligation of our church. Our prayer is that we, as a congregation, never lose sight of our reason for living…to share the love of Jesus with the world.
