God is in your fire too!

Text: Daniel 3:16-18
"O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to save us from it, and he will rescue us from your hand, O king. But Even if he does not, we want you to know, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up." (NIV)
It takes such amazing boldness and faith to believe and still trust even when we might not be rescued; even though we might be left in the fire. In these cases the only thing we can do is continue to praise and WAIT upon the Lord for whatever ultimate form of deliverance he wants to bring. We must learn to say as the apostle Paul did that "for me, to live is Christ and to die is gain." ( Phil.1:21) In other words there must be joy both remaining in the fire and/or deliverance from it.
I just want to encourage you to hold on...to be determined to wait upon the Lord. He is faithful and LOVES you madly.
