Enabled To Achieve The Goal

“Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant.” - Galations 1:10 NLT
Trying to gain the approval of people is impossible and yet Paul’s goal isn’t to please people it’s to gain approval from God! Very often, God’s will and man’s will are opposed to each other, and here’s where the tension arises. Jesus said, “What is highly valued among men is detestable in God’s sight.” (Luke 16:15) The truth is that our value system just isn’t exactly the same as God’s . But there is hope.
As believers and followers of Christ we do have to remember that we are equipped with the power of the Holy Spirit to live by God’s standards and not the world’s. God’s Word reassures us that God is just and fair and that he doesn’t set us up for failure, in fact he sets unique marks for each one of us to strive towards and they are always goals that are attainable for us individually.
So don’t give up, don’t give in or distracted by worldly opinion and standards. Keep your eyes fixed on the mark that your heavenly father has set for you and you’ll always come out a winner!
